Mariska: We deserved to win, and Nottingham's goalkeeper was the best in the match
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca appeared in press statements after the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest, in the seventh round of the English Premier League.
The coach said in his speech after End of the match: “I think we deserved to win.”
He added: “They are a very good team and we knew they would defend well. It was a difficult and complicated match, completely different from The Brighton match, we were patient with the ball and created chances.”
He stressed: “The performance was good in general and I think we deserved to win.”
He continued: “Their goalkeeper was the best in the match. We created opportunities and entered the goal area the way we wanted.”
He concluded about what If there is concern about home performance not matching away results: “I don't think so. If you analyze the games, I think the Crystal Palace game was like our performance today - we created the win and we deserved it. I don't think there's any reason.”
