Hamza Al-Mathlouthi: Akram Tawfiq’s penalty kick could be counted
Tunisian Hamza Mathlouthi, Zamalek player, spoke about the controversy surrounding the penalty kick awarded against him in favor of Al-Ahly in the African Super Cup match.
Mathlouthi said on the “Laba Wal Tanya” program on Mega FM radio: “The penalty kick that was awarded, if you see it on the mouse, you say it is a penalty kick.”
He added: “But there are many angles that confirm that this ball cannot be considered a penalty kick, as it depicted that the interference was strong.”
He continued: “In my opinion, the penalty kick is harsh, but it may be awarded, and Akram Tawfiq was surprised that it was awarded.”
