Palmer: Thanks to Walcott for that comparison, I should have scored 6 or 5 goals
Chelsea star Cole Palmer appeared in press statements after the 4-2 win over Brighton in the sixth round of the English Premier League.
He said about scoring 4 goals: “ “I should have scored five or six goals! ".
He added: "When I wasted the first opportunity, I felt upset, but with the way they played and their high defense line, I felt that we would get more chances."
He continued: “The coach put together a good game plan. We knew how to attack them with direct passes from behind.”
He stressed: “ Brighton is a good team, they pass the ball well. They play similar to us. Three points is what we needed and this is what we got.”
He noted: “I try to play every match the best I can.”
On Theo Walcott’s comparison between him and Dennis Bergkamp: “I know he is a legend in the English Premier League but I didn’t really watch him, I was very young. I've seen clips, he was a top-class player so thank you, Theo Walcott!"
