Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany appeared in a press conference, to talk about tomorrow’s confrontation against Dinamo Zagreb in the first round of the league round of the Champions League competition.
He said The coach: “The enthusiasm of the fans because the final match will be held in Munich? The fans have the right to dream about that as well. The most important thing for me is that we show our quality and our real desire to win on the field. What is important now is that we play a good match and get the three points tomorrow.”
He added: “For me, there is no difference between one match and another; we will prepare with the same amount of attention whether we play against Dinamo Zagreb or Barcelona. We want to achieve our goals and get points.” All three in all matches.”
He added: “We are aware of the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses, and our priority now is tomorrow’s match.”
He stressed: “The matter is about showing a strong personality and imposing control on the field. Naturally, we want to exploit our strengths and the opponents’ weaknesses in all matches.”
On the injuries at right-back: “We have options. We will think about it again tonight. It is very surprising and we do not have much time. Unfortunately for Sasha, he was in good shape. We hope he returns quickly.”
And between: “Josip Stanisic? Josep has proven himself in the league and has developed well. We miss him. We do not want to rush his return, as the most important thing is for him to regain full fitness.”
He added: “Dinamo Zagreb is a talented and technically strong team. They are used to having the ball a lot in the final third of the pitch, which helps them find gaps. They are a team that is good at defending inside the penalty area and gives little space. We want to impose our style of play. We hope that this will bring us success.”
He concluded: “What will you wear in your first appearance in the Champions League? I did not expect this question. I didn't think about it for a second. I attend the match in the same way as I attended the last league match and the next match against Bremen. It's still football, and we have to play the game."
