After 3 matches out, Martinelli prepares to return to Al Hilal training
Gabriel Martinelli, the winger for Al Hilal, is nearing the end of his rehabilitation program and is set to return to team training after gradually recovering from the muscle injury that kept him off the pitch in recent times.
The player suffered an injury during the match against Al Qadsiah in the 11th round of the Saudi Pro League, with Al Hilal announcing via their official account on the platform 'X' that he will undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program lasting from 10 to 15 days.
The team has been deprived of their Brazilian winger for three consecutive matches, which included matches against Al-Shamal and Shabab Al-Ahli in the AFC Champions League Elite, as well as a fixture against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.
Gabriel Martinelli is progressing well in his rehabilitation program without any setbacks, enhancing his chances of returning to team training after the current rest period.
Italian coach Simone Inzaghi of Al Hilal had granted his players a 10-day break following their victory over Shabab Al-Ahli by two goals to nil on Tuesday, in the fourth round of the Western Zone of the AFC Champions League Elite.
The break started last Wednesday, and the team will return to training on November 14, in preparation for continuing their journey in local and continental competitions.
The decision to grant players this rest coincides with the international break, alongside the postponement of the 13th round of the Saudi Pro League, which has given the coaching staff the opportunity to reorganize the team's schedule.
The Saudi Pro League has announced on Tuesday the postponement of matches in the 13th round, as part of a comprehensive review of the schedule for the Saudi Pro League during the remaining phase of the season.
