Bayern Munich have announced the renewal of English striker Harry Kane's contract until June 30, 2029, allowing the England captain to continue his journey with the Bavarian team after joining from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.
Harry Kane has delivered exceptional numbers since arriving in Munich, having scored 156 goals in 161 official matches across various competitions, and contributed to the team's winning of two titles in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, and the DFL-Supercup twice.
Kane commented on his contract extension: "I feel completely at home at Bayern Munich. I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich, and we have a fantastic team and a special coach in Vincent Kompany. I feel a great pride in being part of this club, and my family is very happy here. I was eager to continue, and I look forward to the future and want to win many more titles with this great club."
Bayern Munich's president Herbert Hainer expressed his happiness at the continuation of English striker Harry Kane, confirming that what began as a big transfer deal has turned over time into an exceptional chapter in the history of Bayern Munich. He noted that Kane has secured his place among the most prominent figures in football history and has become one of the beloved players among the club's fans.
Bayern Munich's CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, described the renewal of Harry Kane as fantastic news for the club, its fans, and the Bundesliga, emphasizing that Kane has made Bayern Munich his home and that his story with the team is not over yet. Meanwhile, sporting director Max Eberl stated that the continued presence of the England international provides the club with important stability in planning for the future and helps in continuing to build a team capable of achieving its major goals.
On an individual level, Harry Kane has been crowned the top scorer in the Bundesliga for every season he played with Bayern Munich. He also won the European Golden Shoe twice in the 2023-2024 and 2025-2026 seasons, and was named the best player in Germany for 2026, before being awarded the Ballon d'Or last week, further solidifying his status among the best players in the world.
