Neuer: Playing in the Final of the UEFA Champions League would be fitting to end my career

Manuel Neuer, Bayern Munich's goalkeeper, expressed his great happiness at the victory over Atlético by two goals to nil in the fourth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, praising the collective performance the team delivered despite the difficult circumstances and absences they have recently faced.

Manuel Neuer said after the match: "I think we imposed our control completely from the first minute until the 93rd minute. No matter what Atlético tried, we always had the right response. Not everyone expected this result, so delivering this level and responding to those doubts is fantastic."

Manuel Neuer spoke about Bayern Munich players celebrating their young teammate Lennart Karl after he scored the first goal, saying: "When we wear this shirt and play matches together, the most important thing is to give everything we have for the team and the club and to achieve victories. It doesn't matter who scores the goals, what matters is that we all celebrate them. Lenny is a very important element in our team, and we are happy for him and always wish him the best and hope he continues to deliver great performances, and he proved that again today."

Lennart Karl concluded about the possibility of playing in the UEFA Champions League Final scheduled for June 5, 2027, at the Metropolitano Stadium and whether it would be suitable to end his career there: "Yes, definitely.
