Max Kruse moves from football to the ice cream industry
Former Germany international Max Kruse has ventured into a new field away from football, entering the ice cream industry with a business project called "Byce – Ice Cream for True Fans."
Kroos, aged 38, revealed details of his new project in an interview with the German newspaper "Bild", explaining that he is focusing on producing ice creams inspired by the colors of football clubs, under the name "Spaghetti Ice", a popular dessert in Germany that resembles a plate of pasta.
Kroos said: "I now make ice creams, specifically club ice creams. We collaborate with clubs like Borussia Dortmund, and we offer ice creams in the colors of each club."
The project is not limited to Borussia Dortmund, as its products are also available at MSV Duisburg, VfL Bochum, Preußen Münster, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Armenia Bielefeld, in 330 milliliter packages.
The former German player explained that he is participating in the project alongside a friend he met in Paderborn, who has 30 years of family experience in the ice cream industry, emphasizing that the production of the products is done entirely by the two of them.
Kroos added that expanding cooperation with clubs is not an easy task, due to many of them being tied to specialized ice cream companies, but he has indeed succeeded in reaching a number of German clubs, looking to broaden the scope of the project.
Kroos has had a professional career in the Bundesliga, playing for several prominent clubs, including SV Werder Bremen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Wolfsburg, and 1.FC Union Berlin, before ending his professional career in 2023, although he still plays football at an amateur level.
