The Klassiker ended in a 2-2 draw between Bayern Munich and their visitors Borussia Dortmund, which took place on Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena, as part of the eighth round of the Bundesliga.

With this result, Bayern Munich have maintained their top position in the Bundesliga table after raising their tally to 18 points, ahead of Borussia Dortmund on goal difference, with both teams having achieved five wins and three draws without any losses.

Bayern Munich imposed their advantage during the first half and succeeded in opening the scoring in the 38th minute through Austrian Konrad Laimer, who followed up on the rebound from goalkeeper Gregor Kobel after the latter saved his initial attempt, giving his team a lead of one goal to nil.

In the 35th minute, a goal by Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham was disallowed after VAR intervened, with the referee awarding a foul against Carney Chukwuemeka for a collision with goalkeeper Jonas Oerbig before the goal was scored.

At the start of the second half, Englishman Harry Kane missed a chance to double the score after a penalty was awarded to Bayern Munich in the 55th minute due to a handball by Felix Nmecha, but the England captain hit the crossbar in the 56th minute.

Borussia Dortmund punished their hosts for missing a penalty, as Serhou Guirassy equalized in the 60th minute with a low shot inside the box, benefiting from a pass by Carney Chukwuemeka, bringing the match back to square one.

Bayern Munich did not wait long to regain their lead, as French defender Dayot Upamecano scored the second goal in the 66th minute, heading the ball into the net after a cross from Joshua Kimmich, which was headed back by Harry Kane in front of the goal, making the score 2-1 for the home side.

Harry Kane came close to adding a third goal in the 75th minute, but his shot hit the post. Borussia Dortmund brought on Portuguese Fábio Silva as a substitute in the 76th minute, in an attempt to bolster their attacking strength and get back into the game.

The decisive moment came in the 89th minute when Fábio Silva capitalized on the confusion in Bayern Munich's defense following an attempt by Aleksandar Pavlovic to clear the ball. The Portuguese player controlled it and shot with his right foot towards the far corner, scoring the equalizer at 2-2, after a pass from the Greek Konstantinos Karetsas.
