Stade Tunisien turn the tables on Club Africain to rise to second in the league

Stade Tunisien secured an important victory against Club Africain with a score of 2-1 in the match that took place on Tuesday evening as part of the Tunisian league. They managed to turn around a goal deficit into a valuable win that strengthened their position in the race for the top spots.

Club Africain took the lead in the 12th minute through Sadok Kadida, who scored against his former team but chose not to celebrate out of respect for Stade Tunisien, where he previously played.

Stade Tunisien waited until the start of the second half to equalize, as Iskander Al-Saghir scored the first goal in the 47th minute. The team continued to apply pressure in search of a winning goal, which was scored by Fakhreddine Ben Youssef, leading his team to secure all three points.

The match saw Stade Tunisien have a goal disallowed by Abou Bakr Diop in the 71st minute, before the team succeeded in maintaining their lead until the final whistle, securing the match in their favor with a score of 2-1.

With this win, Stade Tunisien raised their tally to 13 points, advancing to second place in the table, while Club Africain's total remains at 12 points, dropping them to fifth place after losing the chance to strengthen their position among the leading teams.

Club Africain are preparing to face Takaddoum Saghiet El Daïer on November 7, ahead of a crucial test against Espérance Sportive de Tunis on the 21st of the same month, as part of the local league competition.

On the continental front, the Tunisian team awaits strong encounters in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, as they will meet Zamalek SC on November 28, then Young Africans on December 5, before facing MC Algiers on the 19th of the same month.

In contrast, Stade Tunisien aims to build on this victory and continue collecting points in their upcoming matches in order to maintain their position among the top teams and compete strongly for the advanced spots.
