MC Algiers reassure fans about injury to Jordanian Ali Azaiza
MC Algiers has reassured the club's fans regarding the health condition of their Jordanian international player Ali Azayza, following the injury he sustained during the match against USM Khenchela in the eighth round of the Algerian league, which ended with a victory for "the Doyen" by two goals to nil.
Azzayza was forced to leave the pitch during the first half of the match on Saturday after suffering an injury due to a collision with USM Khenchela goalkeeper Oussama Litim.
The club's management confirmed in an official statement that the player's knee injury is not a cause for concern, clarifying that it is merely a minor bruise.
The decision to substitute the 22-year-old was made in coordination between the coaching and medical staff as a precautionary measure to avoid aggravating the injury.
Azaïza faced some difficulties at the start of his experience with MC Algiers, which he joined last summer on loan from Kazma for one season.
The Jordanian player is gradually regaining his form and has managed to establish himself in coach Khaled Ben Yahia's plans, having provided three assists in three consecutive matches, the latest being the assist for the opening goal against USM Khenchela, before an injury forced him to leave the match.
