Fermín: We prepared ourselves in front of our fans, and Raphinha and Yamal help us a lot
Fermín López, a player for FC Barcelona, spoke about the big win his team achieved against Deportivo Alavés with a score of 6-1, in the 11th round of LaLiga, confirming that the victory helped the players regain confidence after a tough week.
Fermín López said: "It has been a tough week for us, and there was no better place to get ourselves back than at Camp Nou in front of our fans. We knew they would play with a low defensive block, and scoring the first goal was beneficial for us and helped us a lot."
He added: "We are in October, and there have been two matches that many considered a test for us, but we were unable to pass them."
Speaking about his conversation with coach Hans Flick after the match, he clarified: "Flick told me in the end that he knew I was completely exhausted, but he was going to substitute De Jong, and he asked me to stay calm."
Fermín López concluded his statements by saying: "Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are helping us a lot with their goals and performances."
