Zamalek SC calls for general assembly in December
Zamalek SC has announced the invitation for its general assembly members to meet on Tuesday, December 8, at the club's headquarters, to discuss several important files.
A meeting will discuss several topics, the most important of which is the Zamalek SC file. The meeting will address amending the club's share in the company's capital to be less than 51%, but not less than 40%, with the remaining percentage allocated to shareholders from Egyptian and foreign members and investors, in accordance with Article 71 of Sports Law No. 171 of 2025.
The club has set a number of regulations for this amendment, the most notable being the financial evaluation of the company by an accredited firm from the relevant regulatory authorities, while Zamalek SC retains all intellectual property rights and trademarks, including the club's logo, name, and commercial image, which must remain exclusively owned by the club, preserving its historical identity.
The regulations also include the club's right of first refusal to purchase shares from partners and shareholders, as well as the right to nominate new shareholders if investors wish to sell their shares in the company. Additionally, there is a prohibition on the sale of any real estate assets owned by the club by the company, and the rights assigned to it do not include any real estate assets.
One of the conditions is also that the name of the club or team cannot be changed to another brand or name without explicit approval from the Zamalek SC board.
