Cairo International Stadium to host Zamalek and Al Ahly African matches

Shazly stated in remarks made via the "Modern MTI" channel: "The directives from the Minister of Youth and Sports to the executive management of Cairo Stadium prioritize the Egypt national team and local competitions and their regularity."

He continued: "However, the support of the Egyptian state for Egyptian clubs that represent like in African competitions is treated as if it were dealing with the Egyptian national team."

He added: "The minister has made the decision that Zamalek SC and Al Ahly FC will play their next matches at the Cairo International Stadium in light of the difficulties faced by Egyptian clubs against the development of African clubs."

He continued: "Based on the directives of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Cairo Stadium Authority coordinated with the company responsible for the maintenance of the stadium to set its schedule after the matches between Zamalek SC and Al Ahly FC in the African competitions."
