The truth about a penalty imposed on Chico Banza of Zamalek

Khaled El Ghandour has revealed that there has been communication with sources within the clubs' association to investigate the circumstances of the 'short incident' involving Zamalek SC player Chico Banza in the match against El Mokawloon SC to determine if it warrants a penalty.

Khaled El Ghandour added during his program "Stad Al-Mahwar": "The signing of the penalty depends on the referee's report and what was written in it regarding that incident... If the referee does not confirm the incident in his report, Chico Banza will not be punished."

He concluded: "There is a clause in the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Egyptian Football Association that allows it to impose disciplinary sanctions on players and officials that the committee deems to have acted contrary to the values."

Sports circles are awaiting the league's decision on whether official action will be taken against the player based on the governing regulations.
