Atlético temporarily takes the LaLiga lead with win over Levante

Atlético have secured a valuable 2-0 victory against Levante in the match that brought the two teams together in the 11th round of LaLiga, temporarily climbing to the top of the table.

Alejandro Grimaldo scored the first goal for Atlético in the 36th minute, giving coach Diego Simeone's team the lead during the first half, while the second goal came in the 62nd minute through Giuliano Simeone.

Atlético have moved to the top of the table ahead of FC Barcelona's match against Deportivo Alavés, scheduled for this evening, Saturday. The Catalan team has 27 points and can reclaim first place with a victory.
