Al Ahly's coaching staff, led by Al-Hussein Amouta, has decided to postpone the decision on signing three players: Mostafa Ibrahim, a defender from Ittihad Alexandria SC, Mahmoud El Gazar, a defender from Bank El Ahly, and Mohamed Hassine, a player from ZED. This decision comes due to their lack of conviction regarding the suitability of these players' technical levels for their plans, as they seek to bring in more experienced and higher-quality elements to strengthen the team's defense, according to "Youm7".

The newspaper added that Al Ahly are looking to sign a foreign defender during the upcoming winter transfer window, as coach Amouta is not convinced by the local names proposed for the position.

It has been confirmed that Algerian Achref Abada, defender of USM Alger, is at the top of the list of candidates to strengthen Al Ahly's defense. The player represents an ideal option for the coaching staff led by Jamal Sellami, who is looking for a defender with strong physical and technical attributes capable of filling the defensive gaps that have appeared recently.

Amouta aims to resolve this matter early to allow the management to start serious negotiations. This swift move aims to meet the team's needs and avoid recurring defensive mistakes, which have caused the loss of crucial points in the domestic campaign.
