Fabrizio Romano, the transfer market expert, has clarified the speculation regarding Fermín López, the FC Barcelona player, potentially moving to Manchester United, confirming that the Catalan club is not considering letting him go.

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester United have inquired about the possibility of signing the Spanish player, as they search for a new playmaker in anticipation of Bruno Fernandes' potential departure, whose contract ends at the end of the season with an option to extend for an additional year.

Journalist Matteo Moretto has confirmed the English club's interest in Fermín López, alongside Pablo Barrios of Atlético, clarifying that the matter has not progressed beyond the inquiry stage without entering negotiations.

Fermín López, 23, is having a standout season after scoring five goals and providing four assists, while CaughtOffside reports that FC Barcelona will demand €100 million to agree to his sale.

However, Romano emphasized in a video on the "X" platform that Fermín López is untouchable at FC Barcelona, clarifying that the player is happy at the club, which renewed his contract a few months ago.

Deco and FC Barcelona's management consider Fermín López a key element for the present and future, confirming that there are no plans for his departure to the Premier League, and that he will remain with the team 100%.

Meanwhile, signing a new striker remains Manchester United's primary goal in January, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin is close to renewing his contract with Leeds United.
