Arsenal close to signing Kenan Yildiz in record deal
Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Kenan Yildiz, a star from Juventus, during the upcoming summer transfer window, in a deal that could reach €150 million, equivalent to £125 million, and potentially breaking the record for the most expensive transfer in the club's history.
According to "TEAMtalk", Arsenal are the club most interested in Turkish player Kerim Alajbegovic and are the frontrunners to sign him, despite Tottenham's interest. It is also noted that Juventus may have to sell one of their star players to raise between €70 and €80 million during the upcoming summer.
The site reported that Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated that Arsenal and Tottenham inquired about the value of Yıldız during last summer, and were prepared to offer over €100 million to sign him.
Di Marzio has stated that the player's value could reach €150 million if Juventus decide to sell, considering that Arsenal will be the favorites in the race, especially since the Italian club has started preparing for his potential departure by signing Kerim Alajbegovic to fill his position.
Juventus needs to raise between €70 and €80 million from player sales, and they may achieve this by offloading several players or selling one of their star names, including Yildiz.
The Turkish player is 21 years old, capable of playing on the left wing, creating plays, and attacking. He scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists during the last season, and he is expected to return in December after suffering a fracture in his metatarsal, having participated only once this season.
