Bayern Munich director announces Kompany has left hospital

Max Eberl, the sporting director of Bayern Munich, announced that Belgian Vincent Kompany, the team's head coach, left the hospital on Wednesday after spending five days receiving treatment for meningitis, affirming his confidence in the coach's return to full fitness in the near future.

Eberl stated in remarks reported by "ARD": "I think that Kompany's discharge from the hospital is the biggest and most beautiful news for all of us. He has now been allowed to return home, and he can continue his recovery period there."

He added: "Recovery for him means rest and taking medication."

The sporting director of Bayern Munich concluded his statements by saying: "I am fully confident that he will return very soon to full fitness, to be back on the pitch again."

Kompany is expected to continue his recovery at home, with anticipation for his return to duties with Bayern Munich after ensuring his health condition.
