Fine imposed on Barcelona due to clásico incidents
The disciplinary committee has imposed a financial penalty on Barcelona for throwing objects onto the pitch during the clásico against Real Madrid, which took place last Sunday. They have also opened a disciplinary file to investigate the incident involving Eduardo Camavinga, according to "Mundo Deportivo".
The punishment came after a water bottle and a can of soda were thrown from the Gol Nord stand, following the celebration of Real Madrid players after the second goal scored by Kylian Mbappé in the 87th minute. Referee Juan Martínez Munuera confirmed in his report that none of the projectiles hit a player, but he activated the first stage of the projectile-throwing protocol, and the match was stopped until the warning was broadcast over the loudspeakers.
The Disciplinary Committee classified the incident as a minor violation, based on Article 117 of the disciplinary law, which stipulates a fine of up to 602 euros, with the final amount determined according to penalty assessment criteria. The fine is set at 301 euros if the medium level is applied.
In parallel with the financial penalty, a disciplinary file has been opened to investigate the incident involving Eduardo Camavinga, after allegations arose regarding several fans touching the head of Real Madrid player with a flagpole during the team's celebration of Kylian Mbappé's second goal.
The Spanish newspaper indicated that LaLiga reported the incident, which will be analyzed as part of the relevant disciplinary procedures.
