Officially.. De la Fuente named best coach in the world for 2026

Luis de la Fuente, the head coach of the Spanish national team, has been awarded the Johan Cruyff Award for Best Coach in the World for 2026 during the Ballon d'Or ceremony held this evening in the British capital, London, in recognition of his achievements with the Spanish national team.

De la Fuente's crowning came after competing against several top coaches in world football, including Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, Unai Emery, the coach of Aston Villa, Luis Enrique, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, and Vincent Kompany, the coach of Bayern Munich.

Spanish coach Rafa Benítez took on the task of presenting the award to De La Fuente, amidst a festive atmosphere at the individual awards ceremony for the best in the world of football.

This recognition comes in light of the successes that Luis de la Fuente has achieved with the Spanish national team, having led them, according to reports, to victory in the FIFA World Cup after defeating the Argentine national team in the final match.
