Allegri before facing AS Roma: A tough match and the result is the final judge

Massimiliano Allegri, SSC Napoli's coach, has confirmed the difficulty of the upcoming clash against AS Roma, pointing out that his team understands the importance of the match. However, he emphasized that it will not be decisive in determining the Serie A champion or the teams qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, as the competition is still in its early stages.

Allegri praised AS Roma's impressive performances since last season, highlighting the work of coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and confirmed that the clash will be complex and difficult.

He added that SSC Napoli need to improve on the aspects the team is struggling with, with the necessity of achieving consistency in results during the upcoming period.

Napoli's coach talked about the possibility of deploying Kevin De Bruyne in a deeper midfield position, explaining that the player had previously performed this role against Frosinone. However, he noted that there are other options, such as Stanislav Lobotka and Billy Gilmour, and that he will make his final decision after the last training session.

The team will assess the fitness of several players, including Amir Rahmani, who suffered from a fever, and Vergara, to determine their availability for the matchday squad.

Regarding striker Rasmus Højlund, Allegri expressed his satisfaction with what the player is delivering, urging him to keep calm, and confirming that the most important thing is for the team to score goals and achieve victories, even if the striker does not score himself.

He concluded his statements by emphasizing the need for SSC Napoli to show greater strength when losing the ball, especially in their own half, confirming that results remain the ultimate criterion for judging the team's performance, regardless of the level they display on the pitch.
