AS Roma target Alejandro Balde from FC Barcelona in January

AS Roma are planning to strengthen the left-back position during the upcoming winter transfer window, as part of their efforts to bolster the squad with players capable of making an immediate impact in the second half of the season.

According to Italian outlet "Il Messaggero", Alejandro Balde, the FC Barcelona full-back, is among the options being considered by AS Roma, after being suggested by Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes.

Balde is among the names being considered by the Italian club to strengthen the left flank, alongside Oosterwolde, as the management seeks to find a player with the technical abilities and the capacity to quickly adapt to the atmosphere of Serie A.

AS Roma are looking to replicate their experience of signing players who can make an immediate impact, similar to striker Donyell Malen, while continuing to search for the best option to meet the team's needs in the second half of the season.
