Flick asserts his authority over Real Madrid in clásico encounters

Hans Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, has an impressive record in his encounters against Real Madrid, having achieved 6 victories in 7 official Clasico matches, with only one defeat, a tally that confirms his superiority over the traditional rival in recent times.

Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' has highlighted the German coach's record against Real Madrid, noting that Barcelona have scored 22 goals against Real Madrid under his management, while they have conceded 11 goals.

Flick's reign began with a big win, 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu in October 2024, thanks to a brace from Robert Lewandowski and goals from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. Barcelona then continued their dominance by winning 5-2 in the Spanish Super Cup final in January 2025, before lifting the Copa del Rey in April of the same year, following a 3-2 victory after extra time.

In May 2025, Barcelona secured a thrilling 4-3 victory in La Liga after coming back from two goals down, despite Kylian Mbappé scoring three goals for Real Madrid. The only defeat for Flick against the royal team came in October 2025, when Barcelona lost 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Barcelona returned to winning ways in the Spanish Super Cup final in January 2026, defeating Real Madrid in a match that saw goals from Raphinha and Lewandowski. The Catalan side then secured victory in the last encounter between the two teams in May 2026, winning 2-0.

Flick's encounters against Real Madrid are linked to four titles won, according to the report, after he led Barcelona to victory in the Supercopa de España twice, the Copa del Rey, and La Liga, making El Clásico one of the team's key strengths under his leadership.
