Amorim: It wasn't a real match!
Rubén Amorim, the coach of AC Milan, expressed his frustration following the defeat against Bournemouth, pointing out that the red card and the refereeing decisions significantly affected the course of the match, making his team unable to compete as required.
Amorim said: "This was not a real match, as the red card and the penalties changed everything, and we could not compete. There was no competition, and we cannot concede a penalty from that angle and then play with ten players. We had to run a lot during the match."
AC Milan's coach said: "I consider it a negative match in all aspects. I tried to place the players in positions where they feel more comfortable, then I made some changes. Now we have to recover and focus on the next match."
Amorim discussed his relationship with goalkeeper Mike Maignan, saying: "I haven't had the chance to talk to him yet, but we need to think about facing Udinese now, and we'll talk again once we return home."
He concluded his statements by emphasizing the need to move past this result, explaining: "Such nights are part of the journey. If you look at the history of AC Milan, it is clear that we are currently in a different situation, yet I appreciate the players' stance who tried to help each other."
