Continental ban threatens Zaidani's participation with Raja Club in Confederation Cup

Raja Club have received another blow ahead of their continued campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, as the CAF Disciplinary Committee has suspended midfielder Isḥāq Zaydān for two matches following his red card during the match against Nigerian side Kanemi Warriors.

The disciplinary decision came after the match between the two teams last Sunday in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the continental competition, which saw a red card shown to a player from Raja Club.

In an effort to shorten the suspension period, Raja Club have quickly submitted an official appeal to the CAF Appeals Committee, hoping to reduce the penalty and allow the player to return to African competitions as soon as possible.

Under the current suspension, Zidane is threatened with missing the return match against the Nigerian team, as well as the next continental clash if Raja Club qualifies for the next round, unless the appeal results in a modification of the decision.

These developments present the Moroccan team's coaching staff with a new challenge in managing their midfield options as Raja Club seeks to secure qualification and advance past the second preliminary round in the CAF Confederation Cup.
