Matias reveals his dream with Raja Club and picks Sporting CP striker as his top wish

Rogério Matias, the sporting director of Raja Club, has revealed his ambitions with the Moroccan team, confirming that his goal is to build a sports project capable of competing for titles, alongside developing the club's structure according to the models of major European clubs.

Matías, in an extensive interview with the Portuguese newspaper 'Record', praised the significant status of Raja Club at both the fan and continental levels, considering that the club has an exceptional fan base and a rich history in African competitions.

The sporting director of Raja Club said: "Raja Club is a huge club, with a massive fanbase that is passionate and devoted to their team. It is a club followed by millions of people on social media, and it has a very rich history and a remarkable path in African competitions."

He added: "If we want to make a comparison with Portugal, we are talking about a club the size of SL Benfica or Sporting CP or FC Porto. It is a club that lives to win titles. My goal is to build a competitive team capable of competing for titles, while also preparing the club for the future and bringing its structure closer to that of the major European clubs."

He explained: "Raja Club was the first club in Morocco to become a public limited sports company, and this requires new organization. There are many talents in Morocco. We must continue to develop the training system, prepare young players at an early age, and provide them with the conditions that allow them to reach the first team."

He said in this regard: "If we succeed in that, Raja Club can become one of the biggest clubs producing and exporting talent in Africa, and an important source of players for the Morocco national team. This is the biggest challenge in my career, and my immediate dream is to become a champion with Raja Club."

Matías said: "Choosing one player to bring to Raja Club? I would bring Suárez from Sporting CP. He is a striker I really like."

He added: "Forwards who score goals are an important element in any team; the problem is that signing him will be very costly for us."

Matias's choice of Suárez reflects his desire to enhance Raja Club's attacking line with a player capable of making a difference in front of goal, while the sporting director works on building a team that can compete strongly for titles and align with the club's future project.
