Al Ahly FC confirms stance on Al-Hussein Amouta's departure after draw against Qanah FC

Al Ahly FC has made a decision regarding the future of Moroccan coach Al-Hussein Amouta following the thrilling 3-3 draw against Qanah FC in the Egyptian League on Wednesday evening. The team managed to avoid their first loss of the season thanks to a late goal.

Moroccan defender Achraf Dari scored the equalizer for Al Ahly FC in the 4th minute of stoppage time, taking advantage of a defensive mix-up by Qanah FC inside the penalty area, to secure a valuable point for his team after they were close to leaving the match at Cairo Stadium without any points.

With this result, Al Ahly FC has raised its tally to 17 points in second place in the Egyptian League table, trailing by four points behind Pyramids FC, who have 21 points.

In light of the controversy surrounding the draw, reports have revealed that the club's management is not considering the dismissal of Al-Hussein Amouta, confirming that the Moroccan coach will continue in his position as usual.

The source clarified that the management does not treat the team's results in isolation and does not see a draw in one match as a reason to make a decision about the head coach's future. It pointed out that the evaluation of Amouta's experience will be conducted at the end of the season, based on the results the team achieves during the upcoming period.

Thus, the Moroccan coach enjoys the confidence of Al Ahly FC's management to continue his mission, despite the surprising draw against Qanah FC, while waiting to see what the team will deliver in the upcoming matches in the race for the Egyptian League title.
