Statements from Moamen Gamal after Zamalek's win over Petrojet
Moataz Gamal, the head coach of Zamalek SC's first football team, spoke about the victory his team achieved against Petrojet on Tuesday evening in the Egyptian League.
Zamalek SC won against Petrojet with a goal to nil in the match that took place today at Borg El Arab Stadium, as part of the seventh round of the Egyptian League.
Mohamed Ismail stated at the press conference after the match: "The most important thing in these matches is to achieve victory to continue competing for the league title, especially since the team is preparing for an important match in the CAF Champions League against the Rwandan Army, in the second leg of the preliminary round of the tournament."
The coach of Zamalek SC continued: "I thank the players very much for what they presented in the match, and I also thank the fans for their support and backing in all the matches."
Regarding the adjustment of positions for some players, he added: "We always choose the most suitable player for the position, and we determine who needs rest according to the nature of each match. Youssef Wael has recently returned after a period of absence."
He added: "The result was still in the balance, so Mohamed Ismail participated because he has greater experience, and if the score difference had been a bit larger, I could have brought on Youssef Wael."
Omar Gaber played in this position due to the injury of Jihad, and it is not new to him. Given the injuries, fatigue, and travel, I always try to choose what is best for the team.
Regarding Al-Jafali's situation, Mo'tamed Jamal said: "I am trying to gradually involve him with the team, especially since there are several players in his position, and he will be with the team soon."
Mamdouh Jihad is suffering from pain that may be in the groin muscle or pelvic muscles. He has expressed concern whenever he feels any pain, which sometimes prevents him from completing matches.
Regarding his presence on the bench, he explained that the player is there despite the difficulty of the situation he is currently in, but he intervenes himself when necessary, confirming that the coaching staff relays his instructions to the players promptly.
Moamen Gamal concluded his statements by saying: "We are dealing with circumstances beyond our control, and we will do our utmost to achieve the best results."
