Liverpool delay contract renewal for Mac Allister despite his brilliance

Liverpool are not planning to start contract renewal negotiations with Alexis Mac Allister at this time, despite the Argentine midfielder's impressive performances this season, according to TEAMtalk.

Mac Allister scored two goals in Liverpool's 4-3 victory over Villarreal in the Champions League, continuing to regain his form after criticism he faced last season due to a dip in performance.

Dominic King, a journalist for "The Telegraph", described the player as one of Liverpool's standout elements, having transformed from a player whose departure was likely to one that is hard to let go. Mac Allister's contract ends in June 2028, but the club is not rushing to start renewal talks, although his continued brilliance could change the situation.

The player confirmed last September that he had options to leave if he did not reach an agreement on a new contract, but he emphasized his desire to stay with Liverpool.

Reports suggest that the club will not offer him a new contract regardless of his performance, with Real Madrid monitoring his situation.
