Eiraola: We must realize this, and I am happy for Njumua

Andoni Iraola, Liverpool's manager, expressed his happiness at the 4-3 victory over Villarreal, confirming that his team faced significant difficulties during the first half before improving their performance in the second half. However, he warned about the continued conceding of goals throughout the current season.

Iraola stated in remarks to "Amazon Prime": "A lot of things happened today. Villarreal were much better than us in the first half, while we were much better in the second half. When we were under pressure, we dealt with it well, but when our concentration dropped, we made mistakes. You cannot relax against a very strong opponent, and I appreciate this victory."

He added: "We must realize that if we do not give our all, things will be difficult, as we are facing very strong teams. It is good that we can come back in the score, but we have started to concede a large number of goals this season."

Liverpool's manager discussed the upcoming clash against Brighton, saying: "Brighton are performing at a fantastic level, and their confidence is extremely high. Their style of play is somewhat similar to Villarreal's, and they come second in everything after FC Barcelona. This was a good match to prepare for the upcoming encounter, and we will benefit from it."

Iraola praised young player Ryo Nagumoha, stating: "I am very happy with Ryo, as he is trying to develop all the aspects we are working to improve. He is now playing more on the right side, and he has adapted very well, moving into the depth more. He faced some defensive difficulties in the first half, but he was much better in the second half. He is turning into a more complete player, even though he is still only eighteen years old."

Iraola revealed some tactical adjustments made during the match, stating: "In the first half, the opponent increased their numerical density in midfield. We decided to involve Rayan Gravenberch at right-back to provide the team with greater attacking threat in collaboration with Ryo. I value Rayan highly."

He added: "We decided to focus more on one side, providing additional support on the left. From there, we finished the first half well and started the second half very strongly."

Speaking about his close call with playing for Liverpool during his career, Iraola said: "There were some moments when I got close to that, even after Rafa Benitez's time. But I was very happy with the place I was playing in. There are many players who want to play for Liverpool."
