New development brings Carvajal closer to Getafe

Ángel Torres, the president of Getafe, has confirmed that the club has received financial approval from LaLiga to complete the signing of Dani Carvajal, former Real Madrid defender, on a free transfer.

Torres said before the match between FC Barcelona and Getafe: "The signing is still pending on some details; if Carvajal says let's go, then let's go."

The deal had faced some doubts in recent days after Getafe was informed that they could not officially announce the signing of the 34-year-old player, who has an annual salary of €400,000.

Getafe's president explained in previous statements to Cadena Cope that the club has already passed the economic review stage, noting that the decision is now linked to Dani's final approval, with growing optimism about completing the deal in the coming days, allowing the player to join the team until the end of the season.
