Adeyemi continues to shine with FC Barcelona
Karim Adeyemi has been impressive for FC Barcelona, scoring four goals and providing three assists despite starting in only three matches since his arrival for €22 million, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".
The newspaper reported that the signing of Karim Adeyemi came based on manager Hans Flick's conviction in his abilities, and sporting director Deco moved quickly to finalize the deal, making the player an example of the importance of utilizing all team elements, even with limited starting appearances.
During the 4-1 victory over Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League, Karim Adeyemi came on as a substitute for Anthony Gordon in the 60th minute and scored a stunning goal with a diagonal shot just five minutes later, capping off FC Barcelona's four-goal haul.
The German forward has participated in all ten matches that the team has won, playing 355 minutes, with a goal every 89 minutes, while scoring a goal every 47 minutes in the UEFA Champions League. He also made four attempts against Galatasaray, including two shots on target, and his passing accuracy reached 88%.
Flick praised the player's abilities, stating: "Karim is very fast, good with the ball, and scores goals," confirming the attacking value Adeyemi brings to FC Barcelona.
