Amid interest from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Tottenham set a huge price for Porro

Tottenham have set a price of €88.6 million for Spanish full-back Pedro Porro, amid interest from FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in signing him by 2027, according to Spanish newspaper "Sport".

Reports indicate that the player's agents have contacted both clubs to explore the possibility of completing the transfer, which could make Porro the most expensive right-back in history, surpassing the record set by Achraf Hakimi, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain for €68 million in 2021.

Tottenham are asking for £75 million to sell the player, despite his market value being €45 million, benefiting from the renewal of his contract for five seasons last summer. However, a departure in 2027 cannot be ruled out.

Tottenham's decline, having not secured a victory in their first six matches of the Premier League, could affect Porro's future, especially as he is open to a return to La Liga. The player is 27 years old and joined Tottenham in 2023 after stints with Girona, Manchester City, and Sporting Lisbon.

FC Barcelona is exploring options to strengthen its defense, considering Pedro Porro as a suitable choice due to his attacking abilities and international experience. However, the club faces the obstacle of a high price. Additionally, the club is monitoring Ivane Urrubal, a player from Sporting Lisbon, as a potential alternative, given the need to offload one of its players in the backline before bolstering the defense.
