Milan plans to replace Modrić and puts Alex Scott under surveillance

AC Milan have renewed their interest in signing English midfielder Alex Scott from AFC Bournemouth as part of their plans to strengthen the midfield during the upcoming summer transfer window, with his name being put forward as a potential option to succeed Croatian Luka Modrić.

According to "Tutto Mercato Web", AC Milan's management is following the development of Alex Scott, who is 23 years old, but they are aware of the difficulty in completing the deal, given the player's market value estimated at around €50 million, with expectations of AFC Bournemouth raising their financial demands.

AC Milan is not the only contender for the services of the English midfielder, as he is attracting interest from major clubs including Arsenal and Chelsea, which signals a strong competition should a decision be made to move officially for his signing.

Scott joined AFC Bournemouth in August 2023, arriving from Bristol City for €23 million, and is tied to the English club with a contract that runs until the summer of 2028, which gives his club a strong negotiating position should they receive offers for his departure.

The player has delivered impressive performances this season, having participated in six matches out of eight available, starting all of them in the starting lineup, and succeeded in scoring one goal and providing one assist, thereby enhancing his position within the team.

Despite Alex Scott's improved performance, AFC Bournemouth are going through a tough time in the Premier League, having gathered only three points from their first six rounds, placing them in 17th position after their recent loss to Chelsea by a score of 5-1.
