Amorim after draw with Sassuolo: We cannot be satisfied

Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Milan, has expressed his dissatisfaction with his team's draw against Sassuolo, asserting that the Rossoneri need to improve in many areas, despite dominating periods of the match and their attempts to secure a victory.

Amorim stated in his comments after the match: "When we do not win, we are never satisfied, and we need to improve many things. We controlled part of the game, and we wanted to score goals, we reacted well and deserved to take the lead. But after scoring the goal, we had to control the game better, as we cannot concede a goal from a corner."

Regarding the reasons for not achieving victory, the Portuguese coach explained that his team failed to maintain possession after taking the lead, adding: "We need to continue doing the things we were doing until we scored the goal, and have more possession of the ball. We wanted to control the match and find the right combinations, and it’s about mentality, that is, scoring the goal and continuing to apply pressure."

Amorim spoke about the injury to Mattia Gabbia, expressing his sadness over what the player has gone through, saying: "I do not know the nature of the injury or the recovery time, but he is a key player for this group. An injury of this kind is painful, and I felt the pain too. I feel very sad."
