Atlético clash gives Manchester United chance to monitor Giuliano Simeone
Manchester United will take advantage of their match against Atlético on Tuesday, October 13, at the Metropolitano Stadium, to closely observe Argentine Giuliano Simeone, as the English club is interested in signing him.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Giuliano Simeone is attracting interest from Manchester United alongside other English clubs, after "TEAMtalk" reported that there is also interest from Tottenham and Manchester City.
English clubs believe the player possesses the qualities suited to the nature of competition in England, thanks to his physical abilities, versatility in attacking roles, strength in duels, and commitment to high pressing. The report noted that Tottenham and Manchester City have made informal inquiries regarding the potential terms for signing him.
However, the player's transfer does not seem easy, as Atlético are keen on keeping him, especially since his contract runs until 2030, after being extended in early 2026, and includes a release clause valued at around €500 million.
Giuliano Simeone is emotionally connected to Atlético, which he has always dreamed of representing, and he plays an important role in their squad. Despite some criticism he has faced this season, the Argentine player has scored two goals and provided two assists.
Giuliano Simeone was influential in the Madrid derby, contributing to the sending off of Hausen and assisting Jonathan David's second goal, earning him the Man of the Match award.
