Ronaldo: I am the best in football history, and my numbers speak for themselves

Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Al Nassr, has stated his belief that he is the best player in the history of football, noting that his goals and current level are not receiving enough recognition. He also spoke about the possibility of reaching 1000 goals during his career and his future in the game, confirming that he does not know when he will lose the motivation to continue playing.

In an interview with CNN, Ronaldo stated: "People do not appreciate the level I am providing, nor the goals I score."

Regarding the possibility of reaching the 1000-goal mark, the captain of the Portugal national team explained: "Things should go naturally, whether I score 920 goals or 925 or 930, I am the best in history, my numbers speak for themselves. If I reach 1000 goals, it will be amazing and a special goal, but I am not thinking long-term."

Ronaldo has touched on his future and the possibility of retiring from football, saying: "I don't know what will happen tomorrow, maybe one day I will wake up without motivation, and I won't want to play again, simply, I don't know."

The captain of Al Nassr emphasized his belief that he is the most complete player in football history, while respecting differing opinions on who is the best of all time. He stated: "If someone prefers Messi, Maradona, or Pelé over me, that is a personal matter, and I respect that, but the claim that Ronaldo is not a complete player is pure lies. I am the most complete player in history."

Ronaldo's comments came after he left the Portugal national team camp during the recent international break, prompting the disciplinary board of the Portuguese Football Federation to open an investigation. The player accused the national team coach, Jorge Jesus, of going back on a promise made to him and providing an inaccurate account of events, which led to his departure from the camp.

Ronaldo tops the all-time men's international goalscorers list with 146 goals, having represented Portugal since 2003. At the club level, he has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, before moving to Al Nassr.
