Flick wins LaLiga best coach award and honors his assistants
Hans Flick, the head coach of FC Barcelona, has won the LaLiga Manager of the Month award for September, following the impressive results achieved by the Catalan team, confirming the continuation of their strong start under his leadership.
Flick received the award on Sunday during the training session aimed at regaining physical readiness, following FC Barcelona's three-goal victory over Getafe at the Spotify Camp Nou.
The German coach did not celebrate the award individually, but made sure to share the recognition with his coaching staff, appreciating their role in the successes achieved by the team. He took a group photo with them, reflecting his belief in the importance of teamwork.
The image included his close assistants Markus Sorg, Toni Tapalovic, and Heiko Westermann, along with goalkeeper coach José Ramón de la Fuente, fitness coach Benjamin Kogl, and his assistants Pepi Conde and Lucas del Campo.
Flick's award comes after an exceptional month for FC Barcelona in LaLiga, as the team achieved four consecutive victories during September, earning a total of 12 points out of a possible 12.
FC Barcelona's winning streak began with a resounding victory over Valencia, winning five goals to nil at the Mestalla, before overcoming Levante 4-2 away from home.
The team continued their strong attacking displays, thrashing Racing Santander 7-2 at the Spotify Camp Nou, before ending the month with a victory over Sevilla by three goals to one at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
In the four matches, FC Barcelona scored 19 goals at an average of 4.75 goals per game, while they conceded five goals, reflecting the team's attacking effectiveness and ability to secure big wins.
The recognition was not limited to Flick, as Brazilian Raphinha previously won the Best Player award for FC Barcelona for September, ahead of the match against Getafe, while Portuguese João Cancelo received the Best Goal award for the goal that opened the scoring against Racing Santander.
Despite the opportunity to celebrate his award in front of FC Barcelona fans, the German coach preferred to focus on the upcoming match against Getafe, leaving the appearance before the fans to the team captain and Portuguese player.
Flick chose to share the moment of recognition with his coaching staff the following day, away from the spotlight, in a move that reflects his appreciation for the efforts of his assistants and his insistence that FC Barcelona's success is the result of collective work, not an individual achievement.
