Barcelona begin preparations for clash with Galatasaray as De Jong continues recovery
FC Barcelona have begun preparations for their UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray after closing the chapter on their 3-0 victory over Getafe. With the pressure of matches, the team must quickly focus on the upcoming European challenge.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Hans Flick, the manager of FC Barcelona, led a training session on Sunday morning at the sports city, in preparation for the match scheduled to take place on Tuesday in Türkiye, with the team set to travel on Monday.
The starting players who faced Getafe underwent recovery training, while the substitutes engaged in more active field training, including Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who continues to progress in his recovery journey.
Flick has expressed his hope of including De Jong in FC Barcelona's squad for the match against Real Betis on Saturday, October 17, indicating that the player is close to regaining his full fitness.
In another context, Flick, along with his coaching staff, received the award for Best Coach in LaLiga for the month of September during the morning training session.
