Barcelona matches best start in club history in La Liga under Hans Flick
Barcelona, led by coach Hans Flick, has matched the best start in the club's history in La Liga after winning against Getafe 3-0, completing a perfect run of 8 victories in the first 8 rounds of the competition.
Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" highlights this achievement, previously accomplished by Barcelona under Argentine coach Tata Martino during the 2013/2014 season, which was the only season he managed the Catalan team.
Martino's team failed to continue their winning streak in the ninth round, drawing 0-0 with Osasuna in Pamplona. However, they maintained their unbeaten record until the fourteenth round, before losing to Athletic Bilbao 1-0 in the fifteenth round at San Mamés.
Flick and his players face a new challenge as they aim to surpass the record in the upcoming round, when Barcelona visit Real Betis, who are currently third in La Liga, next Saturday at Estadio La Cartuja.
Barcelona's strength is not limited to their results, but extends to their attacking effectiveness, as the team has scored 34 goals in the first 8 rounds, averaging 4.25 goals per match, confirming their attacking prowess since the start of the season.
