Omani coach Rashid Jaber, the head coach of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, has commented on the behind-the-scenes of his return to lead the Falcons, after leaving the team at the end of last season, during which he guided them to win the Iraqi Premier League title.

Al Quwa Al Jawiya have had a very rocky start to the current season under Tunisian coach Fathi Jebali, as the team has failed to achieve results that meet the ambitions of their fans both locally and continentally. This has led the club's management to decide to terminate his contract by mutual consent and to once again enlist the services of Omani Rashid Jaber.

The defending champions have played 8 matches since the start of the current season, achieving only one win alongside two losses and 5 draws, placing them in 12th position with just 8 points. This position is not at all in line with the ambitions and history of Al Quwa Al Jawiya.

He said: "At first, I am happy to be with the family again, and there is still a long way ahead of us. We need some time to bring the spirit back to the team, and we are currently working on achieving stability, and that is our primary goal."

"Everyone must come together and work for the name of the entity, and the return of the family is not as difficult as some see it. What we want from the players is to show spirit on the pitch and prove that to everyone."

He said: "We need the support of Al Quwa Al Jawiya fans behind the team, as we have always known it, and as it was a strong support for us last season. They give us strength and motivation, and that is what distinguishes the Hawks from other clubs."

Rashid Jaber hopes his return to Al-Suqour will be ideal, especially as the team faces an important match this evening against Mosul at Duhok Stadium in the ninth round of the Iraqi Premier League.

On the continental front, Jaber is also looking to improve the team's image in the AFC Champions League, especially after the administrative success achieved by Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in convincing the Asian Football Confederation to host its matches in the capital Baghdad.

Al Quwa Al Jawiya have chosen Basra International Stadium as their home ground for the continental tournament due to the unavailability of Al-Madina International Stadium earlier. However, the Asian Football Confederation recently approved the transfer of matches to Al-Madina Stadium after it underwent necessary maintenance and rehabilitation work.
