The Ministry of Youth and Sports has officially decided to revoke the allocation of the Shaab International Stadium to Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Shorta, returning it entirely to the Department of Regional Affairs and Provinces.

Following the decision, it has been officially determined that Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya will play their upcoming matches at their home ground (Al-Qafas Stadium) located in the Al-Rashid area of Baghdad. This stadium has recently been renovated and is equipped to host league matches.

While Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya have adopted the Al-Madina International Stadium as their official ground for the current season, it will serve as the new fortress for the Falcons instead of the Al-Shaab Stadium.

It is worth mentioning that the International Stadium is the main venue for both clubs, and they have played many matches and numerous historic tournaments there.

The police have crowned their pitch with four consecutive league titles, and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya celebrated their league title last season in front of their massive fans.

The allocation of Al-Shaab Stadium for the two clubs has greatly facilitated their logistical tasks, as it represents the big house that gathers their large fanbases, which exceed 30,000 spectators during popular matches.

According to sources from the Ministry of Youth, the decision came to reorganize sports facilities and return them to the management of the Department of Regional Affairs and Provinces, and to preserve the playing surface of Al-Shaab Stadium, which has been heavily worn due to matches being played every 3 days.
