Atlético prepare for new move in January
Atlético are continuing their movements in the transfer market, despite the summer transfer window having ended, as sporting director Matteo Alemany has started working early on new opportunities that can be exploited during the upcoming winter transfer window.
According to "The Telegraph", Atlético are monitoring Noni Madueke's situation at Arsenal, as his role has diminished with the London team at the start of the current season, having not received the expected minutes under Mikel Arteta.
Noni Madueke has not featured regularly in the Premier League, with his main appearances coming at the start of the season through the Community Shield and the EFL Cup. This situation has opened the door for interest from several UEFA Champions League clubs who are monitoring the possibility of signing him in January.
Atlético and Juventus are among the clubs interested in the player, according to the same source, which indicated that both clubs have been "fans of Madueke for a long time", meaning that the interest in him is not only related to his current situation with Arsenal.
Alemany will continue to monitor the situation of the English winger over the coming months, with the possibility of a move for Noni Madueke depending on the role he will have at Arsenal before the winter transfer window opens.
