Shobeir criticises Mo'tamed Gamal, Zamalek coach

Ahmed Shobair, the former Al Ahly FC star, has launched an attack on Zamalek's coach Mo'tamed Gamal after the club announced that he will not lead the white team during the match against ZED in the Cairo Cup.

Shobeir stated during a radio interview: "Zamalek has informed the clubs' association that Mo'tamed Gamal is ill, and Ibrahim Salah will lead the match against ZED. But how is he training the team? Ill for the match and fit in training?"

He added: "Let's be clear and say who will lead the match, especially since the absence of the head coach from the conference incurs a fine. If Ibrahim Salah is the one who will lead the encounter, there is no problem, but the situation like this is not nice and I don't like it."

The media highlighted the importance of Zamalek SC's management naming the coach who will officially lead the team against ZED, explaining that this procedure is necessary to avoid financial and administrative penalties imposed by the clubs' association in the event of the head coach's absence from press conferences.
