Liverpool eye Quansah to solve two defensive crises
Liverpool are keeping an eye on their former defender Jarell Quansah, who plays for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, as the team needs to strengthen their centre-back and right-back positions.
TEAMtalk reported, citing Football Insider, that Liverpool currently have no plans to recall Jarell Quansah, but the club's position may change in the coming period, especially with Virgil van Dijk's contract nearing its end this summer.
Liverpool have a buy-back clause in Jarell Quansah's contract worth £59.5 million, which expires in mid-June, making Virgil van Dijk's decision a key factor in determining the English defender's future.
John Aldridge, the Liverpool legend, believes that Jarell Quansah's return would be a suitable option if Virgil van Dijk leaves, noting that the player has proven his abilities with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the England national team after not receiving Arne Slot's trust at first.
