Liverpool move to sign Mbappé in 2027 for record fee
Liverpool have entered discussions about the possibility of signing Kylian Mbappé, the forward from Real Madrid, in preparation for a move in the summer of 2027, according to Spanish journalist François Gallardo.
Gallardo explained to "Defensa Central" that Liverpool have already contacted Fayza Lamari, mother and agent of Kylian Mbappé, in recent weeks, noting that the player prioritizes the English club and that the transfer fee could range between €200 million and €250 million.
A journalist added that Kylian Mbappé feels a lack of support in the Real Madrid dressing room, which makes him uncomfortable. Meanwhile, "Defensa Central" confirmed that the royal club does not intend to part ways with one of its most important players, and any negotiations will require exceptional figures.
If the deal is completed for €250 million, Mbappé will become the most expensive player in football history, surpassing the record set by Neymar, who moved from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for €222 million in 2017.
Gallardo has confirmed on his X account that Mbappé has decided to leave Real Madrid in the summer of 2027, with his next destination being the Premier League. He also noted that the Spanish club is planning to sign Michael Olise from Bayern Munich as his replacement.
Gallardo remains the only journalist to have spoken about Liverpool's move for Mbappé, necessitating additional sources to support this information, according to TEAMtalk.
In contrast, Kylian Mbappé recently revealed to The Athletic that he was close to moving to Liverpool during his time at Monaco, explaining that his mother preferred him to join the English club, but in the end, she was not the one making the decision.
The French forward confirmed that he chose to move to Paris Saint-Germain at the time because he wanted to play in his city and country before becoming a global star.
