Ibrahim Maaza, the playmaker for the Algeria national team, left the match against Niger after sustaining an injury to his right ankle, a concerning blow for both his club and the national team ahead of their upcoming commitments.

Mazah had to leave the pitch in the 40th minute, as he appeared to be affected by injury pains. Hamdani decided to substitute him out of the match, bringing in his teammate forward Mohamed Al-Bashir Beloumi instead.

The injury comes amid a state of fatigue that Mazah is experiencing, having participated in the full matches for Algeria against Zambia and Burundi on September 25 and 29.

At the club level, the player has played 5 matches with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal, starting in almost all of them, as he missed only one match due to illness.

Ibrahim Mazza is set to undergo a thorough medical examination today, Wednesday, under the supervision of the Algerian national team doctor to determine the exact nature of his injury and assess its severity.

The Algeria national team concluded their training camp with a morale-boosting victory, coming from behind to defeat Niger 2-1 in the friendly match held on Tuesday evening at the Hussein Aït Ahmed Stadium.
