Liverpool compete with Manchester United to sign Truffert

Liverpool have entered the race with Manchester United to sign Adrien Truffert, the left-back of AFC Bournemouth, amid interest from several top European clubs in the French international.

TEAMtalk has reported that Manchester United consider the left-back position a priority, with Truffert impressing the club's scouts after adapting to the Premier League, while Liverpool are looking to strengthen the same position.

Truffert joined Bournemouth from Rennes in 2025, replacing Milos Kerkez, and quickly became a key player as Kerkez failed to deliver the expected level since his move to Liverpool.

Sources indicate previous interest from Aston Villa, SL Benfica, Bayern Munich, and Milan, while AFC Bournemouth are asking for around £60 million for Adrien Truffert's departure in January.

AFC Bournemouth are not committed to selling the player mid-season, especially with his participation in the Europa League, while competition for his services is expected to continue until next summer.
